Clinic Policy Regarding COVID-19
During these difficult times, we at First Markham Physiotherapy and Rehab understand that your health and safety is our number one concern. Due to these special times we have set some rules at the clinic and hope all patients understand the implementation of these rules are to protect you and our staff. Prior to booking your appointment or visiting the clinic please answer fill in the electronic screening form below or email your answer to firstmarkhamphysio@gmail.com.
Are you presenting with fever, new onset of cough, worsening chronic cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing?
Did you have close contact with anyone with acute respiratory illness or travelled outside of Canada in the past 10 days?
Do you have a confirmed case of COVID-19 or had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
Do you have two (2) or more of the following symptoms: sore throat, runny nose/sneezing, nasal congestion, hoarse voice, difficulty swallowing, decrease or loss of sense of smell, chills, headaches, unexplained fatigue/malaise, diarrhea, abdominal pain, or nausea/vomiting? If you are over 65 years of age, are they experiencing any of the following: delirium, falls, acute functional decline, or worsening of chronic conditions?
Also the following rules are being implemented in the clinic:
All patients must wash their hands or use hand sanitizer once they enter the clinic before coming in contact with any other person
All patients must bring in and wear their own mask (preferably a medical mask). If you forgot your mask, we can provide you one for $1.
If there is a wait for a treatment room, you will be instructed to wait either in your car or outside of the clinic; our front staff will call you when your treatment room is cleaned and ready. Please ask all other family members to wait outside the clinic until treatment is finished (unless special circumstances).
If change of clothes are required please bring in your own
The water dispenser will not be operational to the public due to hygiene issues. Please bring your own water
